The Grail
Women and men become part of the Grail not so much for what it enables them to do as for what it helps them to become: critically constructive citizens of church and society. The Grail reflects the essentials of Christian belief in a relevant and creative manner, striving for a deep sense of prayer. It draws people into the quest for meaning in life and stresses the worth and dignity of individuals through the very ordinariness of daily living.
It embraces a number of models of community: Family Network, Associates, Partners (husbands and wives), Companions and Community Members. The two last make up the Grail Secular Institute. All these groupings except one live and work all over the British Isles. One grouping of women and men who wish to share temporally in the life and work of the community mostly while seeking a new way forward in their own lives. The Grail inspires and challenges its members to involve themselves wherever they see needs and according to their skills and situations. In this way they pass on the vision, values and support they experience through being in the Grail.
The Grail Centre, in Pinner, Middlesex, as well as being home to the community members and second home to all other Grail people, is run as a small conference/retreat centre.
