Saturday 14th February 2009, 9.30am-3pm Christian Education Centre (School Hall), Crawley RH10 6RP. Booking is essential
We are delighted to confirm that the well-respected New Testament scholar, Fr Nicholas King SJ from Campion College, Oxford has agreed to be our main speaker at the annual ecumenical gathering, which this year is teaming up with the Lent Group leaders training event. In recognition of the “Year of Paul” (declared by Pope Benedict for July’08 – June’09), both the Mission & Unity Commission and the Lent Group organisers have decided to focus on St Paul
Nicholas King is a highly gifted and entertaining speaker and will be giving two talks in the morning looking first at the vision of St Paul and then at how he handled disunity within the church. If you can stay for the afternoon, there will be alternative workshops exploring these insights in greater depth and how they can help us in our local ecumenical endeavour. There will also be an opportunity to learn about the materials developed for the Lent Groups on St Paul
The event will be in the school hall to accommodate the anticipated numbers, but pre-booking will be essential. Please contact either Sue Fellows or Rosie Reed at the Centre on 01293 651153 before 10th February 2009
