In the year of St Paul (28th June 2008 - 29th June 2009) schools will want to focus especially on this great Saint. Excellent resources are available from www.pauline-uk.org. A letter for Me from St Paul the Apostle is a particularly exciting resource for use with primary pupils.

Alternatively, you may wish to assess the topic by looking at the whole range of work produced by the pupil on this topic. Remember, you are assessing against the levels of Attainment and may draw on other evidence to come to a level judgement for AT1 strand ii

Welcome back!! We hope you all had a restful summer and are ready to meet the challenges of the term ahead. Here are a few things for you to think about-be reminded about.
- Assessment task sheets are now available on the website for the Visitors topic. Please remember that these task sheets only form part of the evidence base to form your judgements e.g we have not included opportunities for retelling and developing the Christmas story in depth, as we know you will have a range of examples to support your judgements from the children's work throughout this topic.
- The planning sheets for the autumn term topics are now available along with the levels of attainment.
- The EPR section of the website includes a model SRE policy and the EPR/Seal document which is currently being updated and extended. We will be looking at this document in greater depth at the RE Coordinators' day on 16th November.
- Remember to consider attendees for the Topic Days this term on 21st September and 7th December. Please do not send NQTs or those new to Catholic Schools and recommend the days to teachers who have not had any training in RE for some time.
- The Course Booklet is now available on the website.
