Residential Use by Groups

The main thrust of St Cuthman's work is to offer a quiet, reflective and prayerful place for individuals and couples to spend quality time. However we can occasionally accommodate whole-house groups occupying 24 beds (the house has 16 rooms - 8 single and 8 twin) during the November to February period.

Groups come to enjoy the quiet and reflective nature of the house and to conduct a religious retreat. Such groups prepare and deliver their own programme, with St Cuthman's staff taking care of the domestic and catering arrangements. For practical reasons we are unable to take art groups, yoga groups and groups with children.

Our Garden Room meeting facilities are made available without further charge to whole house groups to supplement the accommodation in the house, offering a separate space for discussion and activities. The Chapel is available for services and private prayer throughout the stay.

A limited number of weekends (2 night stays) and weekdays (4, 3 or 2 night stays) are available. It is possible that we may be able to accommodate 2 smaller groups sharing the house and Garden Room facilities on the weekdays stated, although not at weekends. As with the full-house bookings some participants would need to be willing to share rooms with others in their group.
