Welcome to St Hugh's

Our present church was built in 1971 but has since had improvements which include a loop system and wheelchair access.

We cover the villages of Knaphill, Chobham, Pirbright, Bisley, West End, Brookwood and part of Goldsworth Park and St John's, all of which lie to the west of Woking in Surrey. The church itself is located in a residential street off the main High Street in Knaphill. We have our own car park opposite the church.

We are a friendly parish with a large number of families. Our 9.30 am Sunday Mass is a 'family' Mass with special time out for young children.

We offer a wide range of activities, both sacramental and social, including Baptism and First Holy Communion, Justice and Peace, Care Group, Prayer Groups and Young People's Groups.

We work together with other churches locally on projects such as the Kings House Coffee Shop in Knaphill.

Newcomers are always welcome to our community. Do come and join in and introduce yourselves if you are in the area.

Preparation for Sacraments

Baptism

Baptism welcomes people into the church. For infants it involves a short preparation course for the parents, followed by baptism either Sunday Mass or on a Sunday afternoon. Adults seeking baptism normally enter the RCIA programme along with already baptised Christians seeking full communion. Contact priest for more information.

Marriage

In accordance with diocesan regulations, couples seeking to get married at St Hugh's must give at least six months notice and will be required to participate in an engaged couples course.
