Preparation for Sacraments

Baptism

Baptism welcomes people into the church. For infants it involves a short preparation course for the parents, which is held once a quarter, followed by baptism either at a communal celebration on a Sunday afternoon or at any Sunday mass. First Holy Communion

Preparation begins in January, for those who are 7 or older, leading to the celebration in June . Contact the parish on 01903 200416 .

Confirmation

For young people, normally in yr 10 at school (14+), the Confirmation programme begins at the end of January, leading to the celebration at Arundel Cathedral in May. Contact the parish on 01903 200416.

Marriage

In accordance with diocesan regulations, couples seeking to get married at St Marys must give at least six months notice and will be required to attend a number of sessions to prepare for marriage. Contact the parish on 01903 200416.
