A quality meeting space for parishes, schools and the wider community. Ideal for parish groups, retreats & ‘quiet’ days, workshops, courses, school in-service meetings and other non-residential groups. (We can, however, accommodate residential groups who wish to use the Garden Rooms across some dates November - February inclusive - see 'Residential Use by Groups') We also welcome enquiries from statutory organisations and businesses.
The Garden Rooms offer…
- Accommodation in the main meeting room for up to 22 people (dependent on layout required) in a light, attractive environment with a lovely outlook to the orchard*.
- Flexible furnishing allowing for a choice of informal or formal use (including a ‘boardroom table’ setup), giving an environment suitable for pastoral, liturgical or professional use.
- A second, recently enlarged area for meeting / refreshments and catering. Light refreshments are served on arrival and later in the day. A Light or Two Course Lunch is available, as well as other options.
- A recently completed south-facing patio area adjacent to the dining area provides additional space for informal meetings, breaks and meals (weather permitting). Some seating is also available in the orchard.
- We have the usual complement of audio-visual equipment including dvd / video and tv.
- The Chapel is available to groups by arrangement for individual prayer or a group service / liturgy.
- There are en-suite toilet facilities, full disabled access and dedicated car parking.
*The Garden Rooms are set apart from the Main House, having their own space in the orchard with lawns, seated areas and views across the lake to Chanctonbury Ring and the South Downs. There are lovely walks and the grounds are a West Sussex Site of Special Nature Conservation Importance.
