Residential Use by Groups

The main thrust of St Cuthman's work is to offer a quiet, reflective and prayerful place of retreat for individuals and couples. However, we also welcome groups who wish to come for a time of spiritual refreshment, and to enjoy the quiet and reflective nature of the House, Chapel and grounds. Such groups prepare and deliver their own programme ...

Groups fall into two main categories....

Smaller groups on quiet retreat, which are compatible with other independant guests...

These are offered a simple meeting room in the house and share other facilities with our independent guests, but may also hire the Garden Rooms meeting facilities by arrangement.

Larger groups, and groups with a 'busier' programme...

These would use the Garden Rooms to supplement the accommodation in the house, offering a separate space for discussion and activities., and generally book all the guest rooms in order to have exclusive use of the house and groups.p

  • The Chapel is available to all groups for worship and private reflection throughout the stay.
  • Church groups usually benefit from our subsidised rate, as per most other guests. Other groups should enquire as to the current standard rate.

Group stays are possible on weekdays and at weekends at most times of the year, depending on other committments at the Centre.
