Bishop Richard Moth Calls for Prayers for Spain and Sierra Leone
Bishop Richard has called for prayers for those injured and killed in the terrorist attack in Barcelona and Cambrills in Catalonia, Spain.
Bishop Richard said “I join with all those of faith in asking for prayers for all those killed in the attack yesterday and especially for family and friends who grieve them. I also continue to remember in prayer those who were injured and their families.”
He said, “We stand in solidarity with the people of Catalonia. We ask for peace and an end to acts of terrorism across the world.”
Bishop Richard has also asked that the hundreds of people killed in the mudslide in Freetown, Sierra Leone are not forgotten now and that we keep them close to our hearts in prayers.
Bishop Richard concluded by saying “In the face of such acts of violence and death we must turn first of all to prayer and place our hope at this time in Jesus Christ who came to bring life.”
